Compensation Information: $20.45 per hour
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an indoor & outdoor environment.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License - drivers abstract required.
- Able to operate snowmobiles, ATV’s and 4x4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Good communication skills, self-motivated, dependable, timely, and able to work well with others.
- Mechanical Repair shop experience is considered an asset.
- Able to work in all weather conditions, both inside the workshop and outdoors.
- Mechanical aptitude; use of pneumatic and electric hand tools required.
- Must be able to maintain a calm, effective, and friendly manner under periods of stress.
- Strong desire to develop a career in the ski industry. This is a good entry level position for those wanting to build experience and qualifications for a trade or other career in the ski industry.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing all duties assigned by the Alpine Shop Manager, Supervisor, or Technicians.
- Working safely around rotating equipment in a safe and responsible manner and following lock-out procedures as required.
- Assist in ensuring all Snow Grooming Machines are maintained according to manufacturers’ recommendations, under direct supervision of a Journeyman technician.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as, but not limited to: Track belting replacement, pressure washing, cutting and grinding, sweeping, shoveling, etc.
- Work safely and follow safety procedures when working in the workshop.
- Assist technicians with all aspects of department equipment maintenance.
- Extend the highest degree of courtesy and respect in dealing with SPRLLP Management, staff, co-workers, and guests always.
- Always maintain professional and credible representation of the department.
- Accept and follow the direction of any SPRLLP supervisor or manager, as requested.
- Strive to help keep work areas, shops, lunchrooms, trucks, and equipment clean and organized.
- Keep track of work performed and ensure it is recorded, as required.
