for the
SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM 2026
for SK and Grades 1 & 2
The Summer Learning Program is an an educational half-day program held during the month of July. The program is offered to RCDSB's current students in SK and Grades 1 & 2 providing support with literacy and/or numeracy skill development.
HOURS & RATE OF PAY

Approximately 100 hours, for the period of June 30 to July 22, 2026 (8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

$26.80/hour
LOCATIONS:
- Schools within each Family of Schools (exact locations to be confirmed)
QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma with at least two years related experience

Proof of registration and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
-
Proven ability to thrive and work in a team environment
CANDIDATES WILL:
-
Support students in the development of literacy and numeracy skills

Communicate with and engage parents in the learning process

Provide support to students and educational staff within the program
NOTES:
Program employment is conditional on Summer Learning Site enrolment confirmed after the first day of the program.
Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the RCDSB Administrative Procedures.
