Role purpose:
Safely transport passengers while providing superior customer service and demonstrating strong communication skills, patience, maturity, and initiative. This is a contract position with the possibility to extend. This is a contract position until the end of summer with the possibility to extend into the fall.
Knowledge and Experience:

Valid Class 1 or 2S driver’s license

Clear driver's abstract

Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check

Strong knowledge of the Jasper roadways

Physical ability to push/pull wheelchairs up and down a ramp or onto lift

Excellent driving skills and habits
Key Accountabilities:
Passenger Transportation

Transport passengers safely and according to established policy
-
Operate the shuttle vehicles in a safe manner in all-weather/road conditions

Provide information to and assist passengers in a courteous manner

Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems
Vehicle Operations and Maintenance

Conduct pre-and-post trip checks of vehicles prior to/after their use

Report vehicle maintenance issues
Communication and Reporting
- Maintain radio contact with base and use proper communications protocol
- Report passenger emergencies and schedule concerns
- Complete various forms of paperwork, as required
- Assist with driver coverage by driving the shuttle bus
Hourly Rate: $28 to start, then $30 after 3 months’ probation
