Escape Manor, Ottawa’s premier real-life escape room experience, is growing its team at our largest and most unique location inside the iconic Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum.
We’re looking for energetic, outgoing individuals who want to work in a fun, immersive, and slightly theatrical environment. If you enjoy entertaining others while they solve puzzles and race against the clock, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role
As an Escape Room Host, you are more than a game operator — you are part of the story. This role involves welcoming guests, guiding them through immersive escape experiences (including Radioactive and Covert Ops), and ensuring every group leaves with an unforgettable memory.
Some acting and theatrical engagement are part of the job, so candidates who enjoy theatre or performance will thrive in this environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Host escape room experiences in an enthusiastic and professional manner
-Welcome guests and explain game rules and safety procedures

Manage the reception and check-in experience

Engage guests in-character when appropriate

Monitor games and provide hints when needed

Reset rooms between bookings

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Ensure every guest receives a first-class experience
Schedule & Availability
Current game times:
Thursdays & Fridays: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM Saturdays & Sundays: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Candidates must:

Be available for a minimum of two-three days between Thursday and Sunday

Be available Wednesday–Sunday starting July 8th - September (date TBD)

Be able to work evenings and weekends, ocassional daytime shifts for off-hours reservations
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to and from Carp, ON Please note: OC Transpo is not considered a reliable form of transportation to this location.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to dazzle, charm, and confidently speak to groups

Strong time management and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently

Team-oriented mindset

Hospitality or theatre experience is an asset
**Bilingualism (English/French) is extremely valuable
