Software Quality Assurance Tester

About the role
We're looking for a QA Tester (Summer Student / Junior) to help us ship reliable software by running test suites and putting our applications through their paces. This is a hands-on, entry-level role: no deep experience required, just curiosity, attention to detail, and a knack for finding the thing that breaks.
About Orchestrator AI Orchestrator AI is a forward-deployed AI engineering firm on a mission to bring true autonomous transformation to the backbone of the economy: Small-to-Medium Businesses, with a heavy focus on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors. Our engineers embed directly inside our clients' operations for intensive 90-day sprints, building alongside their teams and deploying custom AI agents into their real-world workflows. We move fast, and good QA is how we move fast without breaking things.
What you'll do Run existing test suites in Qase and report results clearly. Execute manual QA on our web and mobile applications, working through test cases and exploratory testing to catch bugs before our clients do. Write up clear, reproducible bug reports (steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual, screenshots/recordings). Re-test fixes and help maintain test case documentation as features change. Flag anything that feels off, even if it isn't in the test plan. Collaborate with engineers using Jira or Asana to track issues through to resolution.
Required qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree (Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent self-directed interest). Strong attention to detail and a methodical, patient approach to repetitive testing. Clear written communication for bug reports and documentation. Comfortable learning new tools quickly. Reliable, organized, and able to follow a test plan accurately.
Nice to have Familiarity with test management tools (Qase, TestRail, or similar). Exposure to bug-tracking tools (Jira, Asana). Basic understanding of web and mobile applications and how they're structured. Any experience writing test cases or doing structured testing, academic or personal. Interest in AI, automation, or where software is heading.
How to Apply Please email your resume and a short note (a paragraph is fine) to apply@orchestrator.ca telling us about a time you found a problem nobody else noticed, in software, a project, or anywhere. No cover letter gymnastics required. A note to applicants: This is a learning role. We don't expect you to know our stack on day one. If you're detail-oriented, dependable, and genuinely interested in how software gets tested and shipped, we want to hear from you.
