Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver

This position will be supporting the priority of 'Jobs that provide work experience related to green jobs and environmental protection'. Cow-op is supporting local agriculture and food security in our region, which directly and indirectly supports environmental protection and green jobs.

This position is responsible for receiving, organizing and packing order items for the Cow-op. The packer must gain a knowledge of all products and their required storage needs (fridge, freezer, dry). They must understand different needs for Victoria, Nanaimo and Cowichan Valley order items. This role involves interactions with producers, volunteers, customers and requires that they conduct themselves in a respectful, organized and helpful manner. They must be able to adapt and evolve with the systems in place at the Cow-op.

This person will also facilitate customer order pickups from our warehouse or one of our pickup point locations. This includes welcoming customers and facilitating their order pickup. Additionally, this role may involve delivery driving grocery orders of food from local producers to the homes of members of our community on 1 delivery route per week.
